• Monday January 5th at 7p.m. in the Ron Dalley Theater of Performing Arts: Moapa Valley Arts Council presents Saxaphobia. Saxophobia offers a rare and unique glimpse at some of the most unusual saxophones ever manufactured, and at the classic melodies associated with this extraordinary musical instrument. Set in a jazz-combo format, Saxophobia pays tribute to some of the great jazz legends who popularized the instrument and contributed to the development of America's indigenous art form.

• Lightning or other electrical problems can easily damage sensitive electronic equipment such as computers and modems.  MVDSL recommends you purchase a surge protector or UPS (battery backup) for your computer hardware.  MVDSL is not responsible for modems damaged by lightning or electrical problems if the modem is not on a legitimate surge protector.  Effective August 1, 2006, customers will be charged the full cost of a replacement modem ($65-$90) if the modem is damaged by lightning or electrical surges and found to be unprotected by a surge protector or a UPS. 
• Please note:  a power strip is NOT a surge protector. Also, DO NOT protect the line going from the phone jack to the back of the DSL modem with a surge protector as this will severely degrade your DSL performance
