• The Moapa Valley 4th of July Celebrations Schedule!!!         Moapa Valley 4th of July Committee AND Parks and Recreation Department proudly presents: “Voices of Liberty” The 2009 4th of July Celebration Schedule of Events:

1. MORNING 7:00 Flag Raising Ceremony presented by the American Legion Post 75 & VFW Post 8336
2. 7:30 Breakfast provided by Rotary and Meadow Gold Dairy
3. 9:00/ 9:30 Water Games provided by Parks and Recreation
4. 10:30 Fire Department Water Fight provided by Stations 72, 73, and 74
5. 11:00 Watermelon Bust provided by the Senior Center
6. MIDDAY 11:00 to 3:00 FREE SWIMMING AT LOGANDALE AND OVERTON POOLS
7. 2:00 Pioneer Theater Matinee “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs” $3.50 a ticket, (portion goes to 4th of July)
8. EVENING 6:30 Flag Retreat presented by the American Legion Post 75 & VFW Post 8336
9. 7:00 COMPLETE dinner provided by the Chamber of Commerce.
10. 8:30 4th of July Program. Featuring: Calvin McMurray as M.C., National Anthem: Sammi Webber and McKenzie Harris, Awards Presentation, Iraq Memorial Presentation
11. 9:15 Fireworks display

Important!  Protect your computer!

Lightning or other electrical problems can easily damage sensitive electronic equipment such as computers and modems.  MVDSL recommends you purchase a surge protector or UPS (battery backup) for your computer hardware.  MVDSL is not responsible for modems damaged by lightning or electrical problems if the modem is not on a legitimate surge protector.  Effective August 1, 2006, customers will be charged the full cost of a replacement modem ($65-$90) if the modem is damaged by lightning or electrical surges and found to be unprotected by a surge protector or a UPS. 

Please note:  a power strip is NOT a surge protector. Also, DO NOT protect the line going from the phone jack to the back of the DSL modem with a surge protector as this will severely degrade your DSL performance.
